The Charging Boars

With the fall of King Laman Damodred in defense of Tar Valon against the Aiel horde, a battle for succession to the Sun Throne ensued. The additional deaths of two of Laman's brothers, and the absence of a child-heir to Laman, resulted in enough disorder in House Damodred to give House Riatin an opening to the throne

When the dust settled, Galldrian wore the Sun Crown, with Lord Barthanes, Laman's cousin, successfully inheriting the High Seat of House Damodred. Still the second most powerful man in Cairhien, Lord Barthanes saw the need to commission a group of men under his personal sigil, to be his eyes and fists in the implimentation of his will for the future of Cairhien. Thus arose the Cairhien Charging Boars.

For veterans of Daes Daemar: A fickle ally, and an underhanded foe, the Charging Boars are a force to be reckoned with. The scale weighs out an uncertain balance between their efforts on behalf of Cairhien's welfare, and their ultimate goal of a crown for Lord Barthanes.
